Immediate Table Image versus Long Haul
Table image at a poker online game is the way you are perceived by your opponents. Your image is one of the major contributing factors for most poker players in their decision of how to respond to your action on any given hand. There are several modes within the idea of table image, thoughone manifested from hand to hand, one manifested over the duration of a session, and one manifested over your entire time at the table, over the long haul. Depending on how quickly your opponents adapt to your moves, messing with these modes can vary in their value and their ease. Obviously if you have been playing with a specific set of poker players for years, they will know your general tendencies, and so the most value will be gained out of acting in opposition to what they expect in the momentchanging your game up based on what they expect you to do as a product of all that history, and what they expect you to do based on your perceived current mood at any time. With players who don’t know you, you will have no history of mode, and so varying more from hand to hand will be the only way to change their perception of you. The best way to do this is to not operate out of habit, but out of continually updating your best move.
