Robbie Williams Gets Second Chance on X-Factor
Robbie Williams gets a second X Factor outing as the Grand Final’s duets are revealed.
It was one of the most anticipated performances of the X Factor season – but when Robbie Williams debuted his single Bodies on the show in October, all seemed far from well.
Robbie Williams received a mixed reception for his comeback – which involved him jumping round animatedly, and repeatedly breaking off his performance to shake hands with the audience. He was sporting a rather wide-eyed stare.??
Now, it looks likely that Robbie may have another chance to impress the show’s bumper audiences. With much to prove, he’s rumoured to return this weekend for a make-or-break duet with finalist Olly Murs.
Although Olly is a music industry newcomer, he’s been a consummate professional during the live show weeks.
Robbie Williams, on the other hand, blamed his bizarre performance on stage fright – and a stage door malfunction. He explained afterwards “I don’t know if you’ve ever had 10million plus people ready to judge you on your first performance back in three years, but let me tell you, if the door between you and them isn’t opening that’s enough to throw you right off your stride”.??
The X Factor is said to have great faith in the 2010 Outstanding Contribution to Music BRIT winner. An unnamed source reportedly said: ‘Everyone has a lot of love for Robbie and it would be a fantastic conclusion to the series if he came back and did an immense performance”.
