DCR-SR37ES Is the 60GB HDD Handycam from Sony
The digital handycam made by Sony that features a 60GB hard-drive which can save around a vast 45 hours of video content is the DCRsr37ES. Without a magnetic tape or disk in sight, saving video to a hard drive offers you random access to speedily locate desired material, the ability to effortlessly erase unwanted material and simply rearrange the playback sequence. Your content can be viewed so simply and the camera sports a Film Roll Index and a Face Index. It is also not possible to record over items which you wish to save which was always possible with a tape recording camera.
With the Advanced 1 Megapixel HAD CCD the movie playback quality is fantastic. A tiny lens is placed on the top of every pixel which means that as much light as is possible can be used. The result is that the colour noise is reduced whilst the image quality is enhanced. You can view your content with ease on the sizeable 2.7 inch widesreen LCD and you shots will be sharp and clear thanks to the SteadyShot optical stabilisation system. The onboard zoom microphone makes a fine job of picking up the dialogue of your subjects and filtering out all the background noise. The lens made by Carl Zeiss contains a powerful 60x optical and up to 2000x digital zoom.
When not using a tripod you can shake the cam if you are not careful even when you are shooting a still object. The onboard image stabiliser known as Steady Shot will take care of this shaking problem. This comes in super handy when you are using the zoom to film a far off shot. The camera’s sound features allow you to record in close up too by using the super smart microphone which can zero in on the sounds you require such as your subject voices.
One of the great joys of shooting film is sharing it with family and friends. It couldn’t be easier with the SR37. Transfer your films to your PC using a super-fast USB 2.0 connection and use your DVD burner to make DVD copies. If you want to share your movies on the move, or free up memory space, you can do it quickly by using the optional portable DVD burner. This attaches directly to the SR37 with a single cable.
Managing your film collection is enormously simplified by this software package which is included with the Sony DCRSR37ES Handycam. Just install it on your PC and it provides a perfect archive for your films which are all just a click or two away. You can search your archive quickly and arrange your clips by date or by person. The camera can of course be linked directly to your TV for large screen viewing and the content can easily be burned from within the archive or uploaded to the Internet.
